Building skills as well as gardens.
One of Boobook Landscaping's underlying goals has always been to support and encourage young local First Nations people. One of these young men, Jermaine Austin, has worked with Boobook Landscaping for 15 years. Jermaine has become a quality landscaper in his own right and is becoming a leader in his community.
Together, Lenny and Jermaine created Boobook Boodjah, a business that gives work opportunities to young First Nations people, such as landscaping but also tree planting and seed collecting in the Wheatbelt.
The crew is a positive place to work, where people learn practical trade skills and strong work ethics.
To reach more young First Nations people, Boobook Landscaping and Boobook Boodjah now work in partnership.
